Tired of waiting

When I moved to Charleston, I ordered a few pairs of pants online. They fit everywhere except the length. They just needed a simple hem, which I assumed would be easy.

It wasn’t. Most alteration shops here are built around weddings and big events: gowns, suits, fittings booked weeks out. A quick hem kept landing at the back of the line. Or the bottom of the pile.

So I built what I was looking for.

AHEM. does one thing: pant hems. We shorten them, or lengthen them when there’s fabric to work with. We don’t do dresses, shirts, or coats. Your pants aren’t squeezed in between bridal fittings. They’re the whole job.
